With the season reaching its inevitable, albeit an exciting conclusion, the road to the Flushing Meadows and eventually, the US Open, will prove to be a deciding factor in the rankings.

College football futures win totals 2019. The 2018 ATP World Tour was dominated heavily by players like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. They not only revived themselves on the circuit, but they also added another dimension to the tour when they managed to break their personal barriers.

The Swiss maestro leads the race to the top with five titles in his bag already! Two of these titles were the Australian Open and his historic, eighth Wimbledon crown, taking his Grand Slam tally to 19. While many players reach a peak and then fade down, Federer reached a peak, faded down, took a break from the tour, only to come back and silence his critics in great style.

Even Nadal has been simply sensational to say the least. Federer’s rise to the top has only inspired the Spaniard to go even further and break the walls like never before and our US Open Betting Tips suggest if the draw is kind, they could well be facing off in the finale.

He has reached seven finals this season and currently is the points leader for the season. Another factor to consider here is the retirement of Novak Djokovic from this season, who will be taking the rest of the year off to recuperate from his injuries.

Amidst this, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see another Federer-Nadal final at the Flushing Meadows.

The presence of dark horses can’t be ignored either. The likes of Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev and others have played a crucial role in making this season an exciting one. Considering that by the US Open, many players are already fatigued, the young guns will definitely fancy their chances.

Even the other big ones like Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori will like to prove themselves in the US Open series, after having a relatively dull year.

However, the biggest news coming in from the US Open after the withdrawal of Djokovic is the Wawrinka’s call to pull out of the tournament. He is expected to return to competitive tennis only in 2018.

In the women’s half, Serena Williams’ absence from the tour has stirred things up rather dramatically. The 25 year old Karolina Pliskova is the World No. 1 presently, with Simona Halep right behind her at the second place.

Angelique Kerber is the World No. 3 right now, but owing to her mundane and uneventful season, it is unlikely that she will be able to retain her spot in the top 10. She needs to do something drastic in the last leg of the tour if she needs to get her crown back.

The 22-year-old Elina Svitolina has also been nothing short of remarkable, as she climbed up to the fifth place in the rankings.

She has won four titles this year already and has been one of the most consistent players this year. Match after match, she is inching closer to a Grand Slam victory, which is quite evident from the way she is playing right now.

Garbine Muguruza has also been quite entertaining, as she put herself back on the map after a great run at the SW 19. However, that Wimbledon crown was her only title of the season and she needs to continue that run in order to avoid slipping down in the rankings.

In addition to this, Caroline Wozniacki has also done well in terms of reaching her former self. After many inconsistent and poor seasons, she now finds herself at the sixth place in the rankings, all owing to a pretty great and consistent year so far.

She can be quite a threat at the Flushing Meadows, given that this is the only Grand Slam, where she has managed to reach the final.

The US Open series will greatly dictate how these players will perform in the final Grand Slam of the year. It will be interesting to see how comes out on the top.
